Golf Course Information
"Babe, I’ve just played the best golf course in Florida, and I want to own it."
One trip around Bay Hill in 1965 was all it took for Arnold Palmer to fall in love with what would become known as his winter home. Maybe it was the area, surrounded by the pristine Butler Chain of Lakes that sold him on the idea. Then again, it could have been the famous Florida weather that lured Mr. Palmer in. Whatever the case, shooting 66 and beating Jack Nicklaus handedly must have helped with the first impression.
Officially opened in 1961, and under the Palmer umbrella since the early 70s, Bay Hill Club and Lodge is as fun and challenging now as it has been in any decade of its history.
The annual home of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, all 270 acres of Bay Hill are kept in immaculate shape year-round. Throughout the seasons, new blooms and wildlife keep the experience ever-changing for both members and lodge guests alike. With 27 holes of championship golf, 70 beautifully appointed rooms and 7 guest cottages, the stage is set for a trip of any size.
Minutes away from Orlando’s theme parks and the Orange County Convention Center, Bay Hill Club and Lodge serves as an oasis in the middle of the action. When you get tired of the turnstiles, a world of amenities awaits at 9000 Bay Hill Blvd. Choose from exceptional dining in three locations, six lighted tennis courts, a fitness center, heated junior Olympic-size swimming pool, marina and 9,000 sq. ft. of versatile meeting & banquet space.
Book your stay today and find out what sets Bay Hill Club and Lodge apart from the rest.
Who knows, maybe you’ll fire a 66 of your own.
